I love the line “shaggy blonde hair that would make any surfer jealous” It’s pretty easy to see Cameron as a child psychologist, I think that would really suit him. I’ve seen him with his three year old son and he never gets bent out of shape. But the personality of the characters are much different from Cameron and Calvin and Cameron’s parents aren’t much like how the psychologist’s mom and dad are described.
This takes me back to my childhood. I’ve spent most of my time with about a dozen different psychologists, psychiatrists and school therapists being required to talk to them about how I was feeling to the point where I felt extremely resentful. Like there was something wrong with me. But I really enjoyed talking to a psychologist at Kaiser and I cried a lot when I was younger talking to him.
Reading further I’m realizing that the psychologist might be an exorcist which is pretty awesome. The characters are realistic and fun to read, I can say with experience this is how counseling sessions could go in real life and I look forward to a part two
